General terms and conditions of sale

Applicable for all stays from winter 2020/21


Our services

The half-board package consists of buffet breakfast, evening meal, and free access to the hotel’s sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, as well as the Cosmic sauna located on the hotel’s terrace (panoramic outdoor sauna).
The B&B package consists of buffet breakfast and free access to the hotel’s sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, as well as the Cosmic sauna located on the hotel’s terrace (panoramic outdoor sauna).

Our prices include a room equipped with satellite TV, bathroom/toilet with hair-dryer, telephone, and safe.
Tourist tax is not included in our prices. It is added as a supplement, to be paid on site during your stay.

 

Types of room

Le Sherpa is a 100 % no-smoking establishment. The hotel offers 59 rooms and Jr Suites of the following types: 
•    “Tradition” rooms 
•    “Panorama” rooms
•    Junior suites with mezzanine
•    Economic rooms without balcony
•    Individual rooms

Booking and payment

For a confirmed booking, we require approximately 50 % of the total amount of the stay as a deposit. The balance owed for the stay, as well as any other service provided by the hotel (extras), are to be paid on departure at the very latest. Booking is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit.
Payments can be made by credit or debit card (Visa, Eurocard or Mastercard) with a minimum amount of €30, by cheque, by traveller’s cheque, by wire transfer, or by cash.

Particular case of not cancelable and not refundable offers: in that case it will be specified at the time of the booking and 100% of the amount of the stay has to be paid at the time of the booking.

 

Cancellation conditions

Cancellations made by the client will result in the payment of fees depending on the following terms:
•    Cancellations more than 45 days before arrival: no charge.
•    Cancellations between 45 and 31 days before arrival: 50 % of the total amount of the stay billed.
•    Cancellations between 30 and 15 days before arrival: 60% of the total amount of the stay billed.
•    Cancellations between 14 and 8 days before arrival: 80% of the total amount of the stay billed.
•    Cancellations in the 8 days before arrival, and for “no-shows”: 100% of the total amount of the stay billed.

Particular case of not cancelable and not refundable offers: in that case 100% of the total amount of the stay is billed whatever the delay of the cancelation is.

 

Special conditions regarding COVID winter 2021/2022

The following conditions complete the normal cancellation conditions during winter 2021/2022:
- If the resort is closed, your stay will be canceled free of charge.

 

Shortened stay

Any stay booked and shortened or any service not used on the decision of the client for whatever reason will not result in any reimbursement. Any service not used cannot be reimbursed. The balanced will be invoiced in its entirety.

 

Additional services

During certain periods and under certain conditions, the hotel can offer additional services, such as:
•    booking of ski passes with or without insurance;
•    booking of parking places;
•    booking of ski hire;
•    booking of ski lessons.
The hotel cannot be held responsible for any potential problems that happen during the provision of these services. Any disputes should be handled directly between the client and the provider of the service in question.

 

Arrival and departure times, luggage

Guests can access the rooms from 4 pm the day of their arrival. They should be vacated by 12 pm at the latest on the day of departure. On the days of arrival and departure, a space is available to guests to store their luggage, at their own risk. The hotel cannot be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage to luggage stored by guests in the communal areas of the hotel.

 

Pets

Pets are not allowed to stay at the hotel.

 

Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve dinner banquets:

These are provided for guests staying half-board.
Any supplement indicated applies to each participant in the dinner banquet.
Children under 12 do not participate in the New Year's Eve dinner banquet, unless expressly requested by their parents. Their meal will be served earlier in the evening. In the event they participate, the supplement is the same as for adults.

 

Insurance

Throughout the duration of the stay, the hotel will take out and maintain valid Civil Liability insurance, covering bodily injury and damage of property to guests arising from its operations. However, we advise clients to take out any insurance necessary for their personal coverage before, during and after their stay. Snow insurance can be taken out from the Club des Sports or from the cash desks of the Ski Lifts.

 

Termination clause

The booking contract may be terminated automatically by the hotel owner, without this giving rise to the payment of damages to guests in the case of an event constituting force majeure, or in the event of the hotel's inability to operate in accordance with generally accepted hotel standards for a reason not attributable to the hotel owner, in particular in the event of a delay in the opening or non-opening of the resort (natural disaster, closed road), as well as in the event of cessation of payment by the client.

 

Processing of claims, disputes, and address for service

Any differences concerning the interpretation or execution of the contract and which cannot be resolved amicably shall be brought before the Commercial Court of Albertville.
